Staff Psychologist

Applications are being accepted for a full-time staff psychologist position at CBT/DBT Associates. Prior experience and training in CBT is required. DBT training and experience is not required but highly desirable. Child and adolescent experience is a plus. Other requisites include New York state license in psychology and graduation from an APA accredited doctoral program in clinical psychology. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys working as part of a team. Candidates with prior supervisory experience and/or experience with specialized treatments are encouraged to apply as this opportunity may evolve into a program directorship. We offer competitive compensation and benefits including medical and 401k. MBCT and MBSR Therapists

Applications are being accepted for a part-time MBCT or MBSR Group Therapist at CBT/DBT Associates. Certification and prior experience in MBCT or MBSR is required. Externship

Applications are being accepted for a one-year externship position to begin in the Summer or Fall of 2017. Prior experience and training in CBT with adults is required. Candidates must be enrolled in an APA-accredited doctoral program in clinical psychology. Fourth and fifth-year students preferred. Externs will receive individual and group supervision, and have the opportunities to participate in DBT consultation team, co-lead skills training groups, and obtain further DBT and CBT training. Candidates should send a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and three references to Lisa A. Part-time DBT Externship

CBT/DBT Associates is now accepting applications for a one-year, part-time DBT group externship available immediately. Externs will co-lead a DBT skills group with a licensed clinical psychologist who has completed intensive training in DBT and receive supervision. All groups are held once weekly in the evening on Monday through Thursday.

Time specifications:

  • 1.5 hours per week co-leading a standardized DBT group
  • 30 minutes per week of individual supervision
  • 2 hours per week of DBT consultation team (group supervision) – OPTIONAL

This four-hour externship makes for a great second externship for students looking to increase their clinical expertise or is perfect for a student who requires an externship that is less time intensive. Clinical Intake Coordinator

The clinical intake coordinator position, available immediately, is multifaceted and includes both clinical and administrative responsibilities. Clinical aspects of the job include phone screening of and providing practice information to prospective patients. Administrative responsibilities include appointment scheduling and billing. The ideal candidate enjoys working as part of team and takes initiative. The intake coordinator will have the opportunity to participate in all educational aspects of the practice, i.e., workshops, case conference, didactics. A one-year commitment is required. Competitive salary plus medical, dental and 401k.
