CBT Social Anxiety Group: Navigating the Social Waters with Confidence
Over the course of 8 weeks, group members will learn how to be in the moment when interacting with others, practice assertiveness and conversational skills, and get feedback from supportive peers. Additionally, participants will:
- Enhance confidence in social settings
- Initiate conversations
- Express positive and negative emotions to others
This CBT for social anxiety group is appropriate for adults 18+.

About the Group Leader
Michelle Litwer earned her Psy.D in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Litwer completed her pre-doctoral, APA-accredited, clinical internship at the Faulk Center for Counseling.
During her internship year she conducted individual and family therapy for children, adolescents, and adults for individuals presenting with mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorders, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, trauma and stressor-related disorders, disruptive, impulse-control, and conduct disorders. Dr. Litwer also conducted school psychotherapy groups implementing cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) lessons focused on decreasing problem behaviors, improving social skills, problem-solving skills, conflict resolution skills, autonomy, and self-esteem in children.
