Staff Psychologist

Applications are being accepted for a full-time staff psychologist position at CBT/DBT Associates. Prior training and experience in CBT and DBT is required. Child and adolescent experience is highly desirable.

Senior Staff Psychologist

MBCT and MBSR Therapists

Applications are being accepted for a part-time MBCT or MBSR Group Therapist at CBT/DBT Associates. Certification and prior experience in MBCT or MBSR is required. Post-Doctoral Fellow

Applications are currently being accepted for Post-Doctoral Fellows at CBT/DBT Associates. A Ph.D. or Psy.D. in psychology from an APA approved clinical psychology program is expected by the start of your fellowship. Prior experience and training in CBT is required. Familiarity with DBT is desirable, though we welcome applicants for whom this would be their first clinical experience with DBT. Child and adolescent experience is a plus.

Externship

Applications are being accepted for a one-year externship position to begin in the Summer or Fall of 2017. Prior experience and training in CBT with adults is required. Candidates must be enrolled in an APA-accredited doctoral program in clinical psychology. Fourth and fifth-year students preferred. Part-time Externship

CBT/DBT Associates is now accepting applications for a one-year, part-time externship. This position is a 10-hour commitment per week; Friday hours required and otherwise flexible as befits your schedule. Part-time externs will carry up to 4 individual therapy clients and have the opportunity to co-lead a group with a licensed clinical psychologist who has completed intensive training in DBT and CBT. Groups are held once weekly in the evenings Monday through Thursday (one twice weekly, Tuesday and Thursday mornings). Externs will receive one-hour of weekly supervision and have the opportunity to participate in both CBT (Monday afternoon) and DBT (Wednesday morning).

This reduced hour position makes for a great second externship for students looking to increase their clinical expertise in CBT and DBT or for supplemental group leadership experience, or is perfect for a student who requires an externship that is less time intensive. Candidates should send their curriculum vitae and three references that can be contacted by phone to Lisa A. Part-time Externship – DBT Group Only

CBT/DBT Associates is now accepting applications for a one-year, part-time DBT group externship available immediately. Externs will co-lead a DBT skills group with a licensed clinical psychologist who has completed intensive training in DBT and receive supervision. All groups are held once weekly in the evening on Monday through Thursday.

Time specifications:

1.5 hours per week co-leading a standardized DBT group

30 minutes per week of individual supervision

2 hours per week of DBT consultation team (group supervision) – OPTIONAL

Part-time Clinical Intake Coordinator & Community Outreach Assistant

CBT/DBT Associates, a private psychology practice group in Manhattan, is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time support-staff position with the opportunity for eventual advancement into a full-time role. Available immediately, this position is multifaceted and time would be divided between clinical intake and marketing responsibilities.

As clinical intake coordinator your responsibilities would include phone screening of and providing practice information to prospective clients, scheduling and billing, and addressing specific and varied client and clinician administrative needs. Outreach responsibilities include social media management, website maintenance, and working in coordination with the practice director and clinical staff to promote services and events.

This position provides valuable insight into the world of clinical psychology, with opportunities to participate in all educational aspects of the practice (i.e., workshops, twice weekly case conference, and didactics). The ideal candidate will be an undergraduate or recently graduated student who is exceptionally well organized, responsible, enjoys working as part of team, and is interested in learning about the business of private clinical practice.

Qualified candidates have some phone experience and are proficient with Excel, Outlook, and Social Media Platforms. As this is the first point of contact with the practice for a high-end clientele, a polished demeanor in person and on the phone is required. Familiarity with Word Press, Quickbooks, and SPSS is a plus, though training will be provided.

Required hours are Monday – Thursday, 4:00-7:00 PM, with an additional 8-hours, flexible as befits your schedule.
