Jean M. Quintero, M.A. | Clinical Extern
Jean (“Jeannie”) Quintero is a fourth-year doctoral candidate studying clinical psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University. She graduated cum laude from Hunter College earning a B.A. in psychology and received her M.A. in psychology from Hunter College. Jeannie’s clinical training has largely been focused on conducting diagnostic assessments and implementing evidence-based treatments (i.e., CBT, DBT, ERT, IPT) to adults with emotional disturbances. She has worked at a college counseling center and a community clinic treating individuals with anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, PTSD, and borderline personality disorder. Her research interests revolve around the etiology, identification, and treatment of affective disorders, as well as the examination of the neural and psychophysiological correlates of threat and reward processing in emotion dysregulation.
